Hillview Acres Women's Auxiliary

Thanks to wonderful and generous support from the community as well as lots of hard work from the women of the auxiliary our first Holiday Craft Boutique was successful beyond our expectations. In raising over $7000 we were able to help Hillview purchase much needed furniture for the cottages and dining hall. But not to rest on our laurels, it is on to our next event. Planning is already well under way for our 5th annual Tea and Fashion Show. It will be held once again at Los Serranos Golf Club on April 17th. We are excited to have Coldwater Creek from the Shoppes in Chino Hills providing fashions and are pleased to see the community already coming out in support with donations for our silent and live auctions. As always it is a pleasure and a blessing to serve the children and support the staff of Hillview Acres who are hard at work mending hearts and healing lives.

Each woman who serves the Hillview Acres Women’s Auxiliary brings her own unique life experiences, ideas, and passion. Combined, we have the common goal of enriching the lives of every child and staff member of Hillview. The involvement of every member is vital to our mission. Our well-known events and activities are wonderful opportunities to have some fun while making an impact. One of our best known events, the annual Spring Tea with luncheon, fashion show and silent auction, is always a big hit. Our fall Yard Sale is a perfect excuse to clean out closets before the holidays. And, our first Holiday Boutique will take place this year, with handmade crafts and items made by our talented and wonderful ladies! This is a truly rewarding time for me as a member. Join us on the last Wednesday of the month at 9 am at Hillview Acres – there can never be too many helping hands or caring hearts.

Hillview Acres Children’s Home located in Chino California was established in 1929 as an orphanage and is now a residential treatment center for children who are victims of severe abuse and neglect. The program at Hillview Acres centers on relationship restoration through unconditional love. The children are given a safe haven from the ravages of abuse where they can begin to heal. Staff members, who live with the children, act as surrogate parents in order to rebuild the children’s trust and self-esteem and to teach them life skills. While Hillview Acres is partially state funded they depend heavily on community support and donations. We would love for you to join in our effort to help this worthy organization.
